Biography
Broadcaster, journalist, speaker, and general practitioner Dr. Pixie McKenna is the UK’s best-known medical professional.
Pixie is best known for her role as on-screen doctor in BBC Three’s Freaky Eaters, Channel 4’s Food Hospital, and the BAFTA winning medical series Embarrassing Bodies.
She is a regular contributor to print and broadcast media and is an accomplished speaker on a variety of medical topics including sexual health, women’s health, and health promotion. Having graduated from University College Cork Medical School in 1995 and obtained her certificate in general practice training and membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1999, Pixie has been a practicing doctor since the turn of the millennium.
